
From our look back at the fall season's benefits: Ballet Austin's September 20 event, held at the W Austin hotel in Texas, had a Beauty and the Beast theme. Referencing tropes from the fairytale, the decor included roses and ornate mirrors. The Mandarin Design Lab handled flowers.


A recent gala in Los Angeles channeled the Big Apple in a big way. New York University's Tisch School of the Arts hosted its West Coast Benefit Gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in late October. A soundtrack of New York street sounds played in the ballroom, where dinner tables were set with mini replicas of the Brooklyn Bridge and tiny yellow taxis.

The Women's Wear Daily Beauty Summit took place at Metropolitan Pavilion on May 21 and 22. The meeting had a sleek, all-white design from Shiraz Events. At breakfast, guests sat in clear Miro chairs at communal tables topped with white linens. The floral arrangements were simple birch vases holding cobble moss balls. "WWD aims for all summits to have an environment that is 'digital, modern, and global,' so we chose to work with the space at hand and create a futuristic aesthetic by the use of all white," said Brian Hanley of Shiraz.








Patrón’s branded train parked at the Austin Amtrak station hosted several dinners and happy hours helmed by local chefs and bartenders throughout the festival. On March 18, Rolling Stone partnered with the tequila brand to screen a documentary about Austin-based musician Gary Clark Jr. Vases and planters from halved bottles of the tequila were scattered on tables. There was also the taste wall, where guests could try different types of tequila.
