The Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hot Pink Party

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hot Pink Party once again took over New York's Waldorf-Astoria. The April 17 benefit, which raised more than $5.2 million, took on the theme "¡Viva Fiesta!" Miniature bright-colored donkey piñatas from Oriental Trading party supplies were suspended from clear balloons in the Silver Corridor, which lead guests into the Grand Ballroom for the main event.

Allium Goes Pink

On October 3, Allium at the Four Seasons Chicago hosted a "Go Pink" fund-raiser for the Lynn Sage Foundation. In keeping with the signature shade of breast cancer awareness, all snacks and drinks had a rosy hue. Even the deviled eggs, made with beets, turned pink.

40th Birthday Party

“This party was so much fun. Now, you’ve heard the Plaza’s Oak Room closed down because of the boozy brunches. Well, we threw the booziest brunch of all. It started at 11 in the morning and finished at seven o’clock at night. And I think I must have used 10,000 peonies in this room, all with black modern furniture."

40th Birthday Party

"In the middle of each table I had an ice bucket, and had a continuing barrage of beautiful women coming, each of them carrying a magnum with a fire coming out the top, until all the ice buckets were full. That got the party going. We did two parties for her. I created a Roman orgy for her in Aspen two weeks ago. Now that’s a party.”

Oprah's Wrap Party

"I magically transformed the ballroom into an ode to Oprah. Working with shades of purple, lavender, and lilac, we did things on a rather grand scale. I changed all the shapes of the walls by giving them a serpentine pattern. We also did a beautiful reverse projected screen, so as you walked into the room you would read these incredible quotes of how Oprah has affected all these extraordinary people."
