Football season may conclude in February, but the sport’s biggest off-season event still draws thousands of fans for the three-day gathering held at Radio City Music Hall. Next: May 8-10, 2014

As of press time it was unannounced whether pro basketball’s draft night would be held for a second year at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center or return to its traditional home in Madison Square Garden, but the event is excepted to stay in New York City regardless. Next: June 26, 2014

One of the oldest events on the entire list, the dog show debuted at the Hippodrome at Gilmore's Garden in 1877, and now it takes place at another garden—Madison Square Garden. The show will shift back one week next year to accommodate the N.B.A. All-Star Game. Next: February 16-17, 2015

Some 32,000 cyclists race through all five boroughs during the city’s biggest two-wheeled event, which is sponsored by TD Bank. Next: May 4, 2014
