1. Fashion Week
Toronto #1 Fashion Industry Event More than 30,000 industry insiders will visit the tents in David Pecaut Square, where as many as 35 designers will be showing their Spring 2015 collections. The four-day event, sponsored by MasterCard, includes several runway shows a day, panels, networking events, and the exclusive Holt Renfrew opening-night party. Next: October 20-24, 2014

2. Arts and Fashion Week
Toronto #2 Fashion Industry Event (new to the list) Presented by Fashion Art Toronto, the five-day event, which showcases cutting-edge fashion, design, and art, turns 10 in 2015. More than 200 Canadian and international designers and artists present upwards of 45 runway shows sponsored by Now magazine and Steam Whistle brewery. Next: April 21-25, 2015

3. Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels
Toronto #3 Fashion Industry Event More than 250 buyers, members of the media, and celebrities celebrated at the swanky One King West in 2014. AliceAzur by Miriam Baker was named Most Promising New Label, presented by society maven Suzanne Rogers. The designer won $25,000, an editorial spread in Flare magazine, and production of a look book by CoverGirl and Pantene. Next: Spring 2015

4. Eco Fashion Week
Vancouver #5 Fashion Industry Event The tagline for the three-day event is “Fashion for life, not for waste,” focusing on sustainability and ethical clothing choices. This year marked the first appearance of H&M as well as a spotlight on global retailers’ social and environmental responsibility. Value Village again sponsored the 68-Pound Challenge, in which a designer creates a 30-piece collection out of castoffs. Next: April 19-24, 2015
