The Hilton Anaheim has completed the first phase of a major renovation with the reopening of its twin California and Pacific ballrooms, which have been upgraded with new wall coverings, carpeting, and lighting and sound equipment. The next phase of the 1,572-room hotel's makeover is an update of its 51 meeting rooms. The renovation will continue floor by floor through August.
Renovated guest rooms will each feature a work desk with an ergonomic chair, and the hotel expects to announce plans for a redesigned lobby (with a Starbucks, new restaurants, and an upgraded fitness center) soon. All told, Makar Properties plans to invest more than $60 million in the hotel, Orange County's largest, situated near the Anaheim Convention Center and Disneyland.
