The newly opened Karma in the W San Diego takes its name and aesthetic from the brut-style sparkling wine created by Patrick Wilson. Located next to the hotel’s Rice Restaurant on Columbia and B Streets, Karma’s interior is sleek and modern, with white walls and columns offset by furniture and textiles in gold and deep brown. The menu features finely crafted cocktails with a berry bent, and guests can also order from a champagne bar with a choice of fresh berries as accents. A limited menu includes light fare like tuna tartare and chicken sate. Karma is the first of a few updates for the W San Diego’s nightlife venues. In 2008, Thom Felicia Interiors will reimagine the Living Room, and rooftop bar Beach and poolside bar Veranda will also be revamped.
