Here's a closer look at Los Angeles' newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this fall. The new and renovated Los Angeles-area venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.
Regent Santa Monica Beach

Regent Santa Monica Beach opened in October, becoming the brand’s first flagship property within the Americas. Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts' luxury and lifestyle portfolio, the elegant beachfront resort is located just steps from the Santa Monica Pier and offers 167 spacious guest rooms—the smallest of which span an impressive 720 square feet—plus suites, public spaces, restaurants, and an elevated pool deck with ocean views. The bright, airy decor includes nautical details, sandy textures, brass detailing, and green hues coupled with gold- and cream-colored accents. For events, there’s the 6,100-square-foot Jacaranda Ballroom, plus an additional 3,000-square-foot foyer. Another highlight? The 10,000-square-foot Guerlain Wellness spa, which offers 12 treatment rooms, several lounges with hot tubs, and a retail boutique.

The Bellwether

The Bellwether is a new music and event space located just west of Downtown Los Angeles. The space, which originally opened in 2023 and is now fully operational for private events, was founded by Michael Swier—proprietor of popular LA clubs the Teragram Ballroom and Moroccan Lounge—along with Another Planet Entertainment, the largest independent promoter in the U.S. It offers 20,000 square feet of event space including a 1,500-capacity main room (pictured), which has a wooden dance floor, a 60-foot bar, and a 270-degree wraparound balcony. Other event spaces include a lobby that holds 220, a restaurant and bar that seats 70 or holds 200 for receptions, a VIP lounge that holds 75, and an open-air patio with panoramic views of Downtown LA and space for 335 people. The newest addition? An event space with its own private speakeasy entrance—along with a 60-foot bar, a small stage, and space for as many as 600 people—opened in July.

W Hollywood

W Hollywood unveiled a massive renovation in October. The hotel features 319 spacious guest rooms and suites, plus a number of dining options and meeting and event spaces. Highlights include the Living Room bar and the adjoining Garden courtyard (pictured), which has native vegetation nestled around sun-toned banquettes, love seats, and mosaic terrazzo flooring in greens, pinks, and browns. Other gathering spaces include the rooftop deck, which now features two bars plus the Loft, a rooftop venue with sweeping panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills. Dedicated event spaces include the Great Room, a 5,040-square-foot venue featuring movable bars, tables, and furniture for multiple configurations. The property also features 11 meeting rooms spanning 35,000 square feet on the same floor. Each features a juxtaposition of playful art and textures, combining minimalist furnishings and neutral shades with bold pops of color.

MĂrate

Mexican restaurant MĂrate, which opened in 2022 in Los Feliz, unveiled a new private dining room in July. Helmed by culinary director Ronnie Munoz, MĂrate features a chef-driven menu complemented by lush outdoor greenery, a seating area around a 30-foot coral tree, and a retractable roof. The indoor-outdoor restaurant offers a variety of event spaces, including Sala De Sarno, the new private dining room, which seats 35 guests or accommodates 50 for receptions. Other options include the Tree House, which holds 40 guests; the Sarno Suite, with a capacity for 60; and Bar MĂrate, which fits 30. For larger events, a full restaurant buyout accommodates up to 350 people for cocktail parties, with the flexibility of reserving each of its three floors individually. Private dining menus are crafted as seated, family-style meals, while private spaces can also host cocktail-style receptions featuring tray-passed aperitivos.

Gravitas Beverly Hills

Gravitas Beverly Hills, a new private club that opened in October, promises members a high-end, exclusive experience within its 28,000-square-foot, multilevel space. The club includes a variety of intimate dining experiences, top-of-the-line amenities, and a dedicated concierge service, along with an open-air garden bar and dining room with a weatherproof retractable roof and heated floors for cooler weather. The Vault houses temperature-controlled, customizable wine lockers for members—and on the second level, The Loft features a recording studio, a conference room, and private dining rooms. The Loft lounge area also boasts a 28-by-7-foot LED screen and a stage for live entertainment. Overlooking the luxe interior dining room are the G.E.M. (Gravitas Elite Member) Booths, equipped with Bluetooth capabilities, private curtains, and a call button for service staff. Thanks to co-founder Brandon Steven’s history in the car industry, Gravitas also features innovative automotive offerings like the "G-Car" service, a premier perk offering direct personal rides in luxury cars to and from the club.

Wyman Bar at the Bradbury Building

In early October, NeueHouse announced the reopening of the Wyman Bar at the Bradbury Building in downtown Los Angeles. NeueHouse will now manage bookings, planning, and production for all private events on the second floor of the historic building, which is renowned for its striking interior symmetry, marble staircases, and intricate ironwork. The Wyman Bar can host a variety of private functions including conferences, cocktail parties, and more, all complete with full-service catering and drink packages tailored to each event. The 1,350-square-foot bar seats 34 or holds 100 for receptions, and has an 85-inch 4K TV, a house sound system with wireless microphones, and adjustable mood lighting. Other event spaces at the Bradbury Building include the 3,500-square-foot Atrium, which seats 41 or holds 300 for receptions, and the 1,480-square-foot Gallery, which seats 100 or holds 120 for receptions.

The Portofino Hotel & Marina's El Rey Catamaran

The 161-room Portofino Hotel & Marina in Redondo Beach offers 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including eight banquet rooms, a 3,500-square-foot ballroom, and a lawn that holds 150 people. And now, the property boasts its own 62-foot catamaran dubbed El Rey, specifically designed for parties, corporate gatherings, and more. Event packages include a ship captain, a fully equipped kitchen and culinary staff from the hotel’s BALEENkitchen restaurant, multiple levels and a viewing deck, and the capacity to host up to 50 guests. Hosts do not need to be hotel guests to reserve the 1,200-square-foot catamaran.

Marriott Long Beach Downtown

The reimagined Marriott Long Beach Downtown opened in August with 24,000 square feet of adaptable meeting spaces, including two ballrooms and nine meeting rooms equipped for wireless connectivity, videoconferencing, and smart technology. Highlights include the 7,248-square-foot Bixby Ballroom, which seats up to 800 guests, and the Pike Ballroom, a contemporary space on the first floor featuring doors large enough to drive a car through. There's also a 1,890-square-foot patio, a 150-person atrium, and three hospitality suites. Adjacent to the city’s lively promenade, the hotel’s 12 floors house 376 modern guest rooms, a rooftop pool, a fitness center, and the Local Current restaurant, which highlights California-inspired cuisine. At the heart of the property is the Greatroom lobby (pictured), which draws on Long Beach’s art deco heritage, blending 1930s streamlined modern architecture with the area’s nautical charm and contemporary design elements.

Deme at Hotel Figueroa

Open since August, Hotel Figueroa's new poolside restaurant, Deme, is an Eastern Mediterranean-inspired dining experience led by executive chef Blake Shailes. The menu includes unique dishes like crispy lobster kataifi; vegan roasted zucchini with skordalia; and large-format feasts, featuring ancient grains and flavors from regions like Greece, Turkey, and Lebanon. The cocktail program complements the menu with goddess-inspired drinks featuring flavors like saffron and Greek yogurt. Deme’s thoughtful design by Juliette Labelle and Karina Fontes brings a Mediterranean coastal charm, with elements like burgundy velvet booths and custom clay lighting. The restaurant has 60 seats. Overall, the 268-room hotel offers private event venues—including the Gran Sala ballroom space—that span 10,000 square feet.

LĂĽm Hotel

Inglewood's Lüm Hotel reopened in August under new ownership by Chartres Lodging Group, offering travelers and locals modern accommodations in a prime location for sports, entertainment, and dining. While the hotel doesn't have event space of its own, it's situated across the street from SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, and adjacent to the Intuit Dome; it's also close to the Kia Forum and LAX, making it an ideal spot for guests attending concerts, sports events, and festivals. The hotel’s amenities include 179 spacious rooms, a resort-style pool with an outdoor bar, a fitness center, and a rooftop terrace with skyline views. The on-site restaurant, Cork & Batter, serves American favorites and crafted drinks.

The Living Room and The Pâtisserie at Hotel Bel-Air

In August, Hotel Bel-Air introduced two new dining experiences, The Living Room and The Pâtisserie, enhancing its culinary offerings with refined yet inviting atmospheres crafted by Champalimaud Design. The Pâtisserie offers freshly baked pastries, breads, and artisanal coffees, all enjoyed in a charming courtyard with alfresco seating and a seasonal gelato trolley. The Living Room, a lush, conservatory-inspired lounge, serves high tea, light bites, caviar, and cocktails, featuring specialties like Vidalia onion dip and duck confit. For events, the 103-room Hotel Bel-Air has seven private spaces, including the glamorous Garden Ballroom, which seats 210 banquet-style or holds 350 for receptions, and the Palm Room, which seats 40 conference-style or holds 75 for receptions.

Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Burbank/Downtown

In September, Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Burbank/Downtown completed a renovation of its 166 all-suite rooms, which now feature updated interiors including new carpeting, wall vinyl, paint, custom artwork, and modern furnishings. The hotel also offers a variety of suite options, all equipped with plush mattresses, large work desks, fully equipped kitchens, and flat-screen televisions. For meetings and events, the property boasts three meeting rooms with a total of 1,352 square feet of space, accommodating up to 78 guests. Additional amenities include a fitness center, a 24-hour market, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor swimming pool, and a patio with a barbecue grill and fire pit. The five-story hotel is situated just 3 miles from Hollywood Burbank Airport and near numerous shops, restaurants, and entertainment options.
