Grammy Update: Bolstered Lineup, Auction on Now

Only five days left until the 49th annual Grammys, and the Recording Academy is still adding performers to the lineup. The academy announced today that nominee Shakira will perform for the first time ever at the show, and nominee Wyclef Jean will join her. And Chris Brown, Lionel Richie, and Smokey Robinson will take the stage in a segment paying tribute to the tradition of great male R&B artists.

Meanwhile, the academy is running an eBay charity auction through February 22 to benefit MusiCares and the Grammy Foundation. The 100 lots include some unique experiences, such as V.I.P. tickets to next year’s 50th annual event—including first-class round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, official party passes, rehearsal passes, backstage production tour passes, and more. Another lot offers a private saxophone lesson with Dave Koz.
