Personal celebrations like bar mitzvahs are getting increasingly over-the-top and personalized. One lucky Texas teenager saw the trend first-hand at his Formula One-theme bar mitzvah, designed by Caplan Miller Events. The bash fired on all cylinders at a local Austin racetrack, incorporating everything from custom cabanas to an actual two-seat sports car. Here are some ideas from the party.

Caplan Miller Events utilized the pit lane of the Circuit of the Americas racetrack and several on-site garages for the bar mitzvah. A logo with a checkered flag and the teen’s name appeared throughout the space.

Each garage was decorated as a different F1 location—Monaco, India, Shanghai, and Italy—with custom cabanas and international menu items, like vegetable samosas with tomato chutney, steak frites, and steamed dumplings, from Kurant Events.
