Daily Apple Wellness Services, which opened its doors in north Toronto this week, offers a range of fitness, nutrition, and stress-management workshops designed to promote healthy living at work and at home.

Prior to starting Daily Apple, Lesley Stoyan spent 15 years managing employee-wellness programs in the corporate sector. “We do a lot of corporate-wellness workshops—anything from a lunchtime or after-work yoga program to a lunch-and-learn with a naturopathic doctor," Stoyan says. "We try to equip people with the tools to make healthy choices but in a nontraditional way. We try to make natural living and natural health inviting.”Daily Apple’s better business bodies program, an eight-week counseling series, teaches employees how to improve their performance at work through healthy living. The centre also offers a range of health-conscious foods at its Lytton Street location, including hearty tofu soups and organic spelt muffins. Catering is available for lunch-and-learn sessions. Stoyan works with each client to develop specific menus featuring dishes created with fresh ingredients from local farmers markets. “We try to create the menu so it fits with the client’s needs,” she says.
