Canada's Walk of Fame announced it will host an inaugural inductee ball on September 6, two days after the Toronto International Film Festival begins. The event is being planned by Cheryl Cecchetto of the L.A.-based company Sequoia Productions and will be held in the Sheraton Centre's grand ballroom. Cecchetto, who was born in Canada, has planned such high-profile events as the Academy Awards Governors Ball and Entertainment Weekly's annual Emmy party.

Supermodel Daria Werbowy, director James Cameron, and NBA player Steve Nash are among this year's Walk of Fame inductees expected at the BlackBerry-sponsored ball. The 2008 festivities also include a gala tribute presentation at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.
