Inviting a burlesque dancer to model lingerie in the window is a surefire way to attract attention when you're the new kid on the block. Jennifer Klein, owner of lingerie boutique Secrets From Your Sister, did just that Thursday at the official opening of her midtown location at Yonge and Eglinton. Kitty Neptune of the Scandelles posed in the shop window while guests mingled at a cocktail party inside. "We like to have fun with lingerie," Klein said.

Trixie Beaver—also of the Scandelles—and three of Klein's friends modeled items from the collection beside the main bar, set up in one of the fitting rooms at the rear of the store. Servers offered a selection of fruity martinis made with Effen Vodka and passed hors d'oeuvres like tomato and bocconcini skewers from Stuart + Saladino Catering. A store employee, who goes by the name the Countess, served as the DJ. Sponsors included Empreinte, Fantasie, Freya, and Pleasure State.
