Fun Event Raises Funds for Cancer Fight

February 15, 2006
National Colorectal Cancer Campaign volunteer organizers Penny Greenberg, Miriam Elmaleh, Melanie Saxe, Stephanie Pallein, Trish Title, and Kari Holland raised funds for research when they held an event called Get Behind the Cause at the Church at Berkley.
Volunteers, including the Entertainment Group's publicity and promotions director Holland, joined forces to put on the event, supported by several sponsors and suppliers, including Frito-Lay, Sleeman Canada breweries, and Slava Vodka.

Attendees enjoyed performances by break-dance troupe Atomic Circus and belly dancer Leanne Fullerton, and music spun by a DJ from Big Entertainment.

Various raffles saw invitees take home some lovely gifts, including an original piece by Serli Diamonds.
