This week's roundup includes a lumberjack-theme DJ booth at the Canadiana Gala in Toronto, yogurt-inspired cocktails and a love letter-writing station for Noosa's product launch in New York, and human statues at the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Miami.

The National Ballet School celebrated Canada’s 150th anniversary this year with a fund-raising gala that took place at the Carlu in Toronto in March. The event, which was designed by Candice & Alison, featured a Canadian forest-inspired DJ booth with a DJ dressed as a lumberjack.

Noosa Yoghurt celebrated its new mix-in line with a launch event on July 12 at 447 Broadway in New York. The event, which was designed by M Booth, featured a D.I.Y. yogurt bar that invited attendees to make their own creations.

The event offered cocktails and “mocktails” inspired by the new flavors, including maple ginger, coconut almond chocolate, honey cranberry almond, and banana chocolate peanut.

The event also invited attendees to write their own Noosa love letters at a station that included a branded pink and white mailbox and a chrome typewriter. Talent from the Haiku Guys and Gals was onsite to help write the letters.

This year’s U.S. Conference of Mayors took place June 23 to 26 in Miami Beach for the first time. At the all-white opening-night party, which took place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, performers posed as human statues.

At the Fun for All Ultimate Beach Party, which took place on the third night, Carnival Cruises’s activation featured a giant sand sculpture that incorporated the names of its ships.

Jack Daniel’s brought its House No. 7 activation to Basketball City at Pier 36 in New York on June 26 as part of the first-ever N.B.A. Awards show. Designed and produced by Mirrorball, the event featured retro hotel-inspired decor elements, including luggage carts and suitcases at the entryway.

Former N.B.A. player John Starks made a surprise appearance, and a Jack Daniel’s branded basketball court featuring trick-shot talent was a new addition to the “house.”

The Royal Ontario Museum celebrated Canada 150 with its ROM Ball in May. The event’s red carpet area featured a ceiling installation of golden maple leafs, along with black cutouts of moose silhouettes.

The 11th edition of Luminato took place June 14 to 25 in Toronto. This year’s opening party, which took place at the CBC Atrium, offered chicken parmesan lollipops. The event was catered by Daniel et Daniel and curated by the PC Cooking School.
