* INCOMING *

1. GOLDEN GLOBES: The Golden Globes provided true surprises—President Bill Clinton introducing a clip from Lincoln, and Argo and its star and director, Ben Affleck, winning the big awards—and the show's biggest moments featured women. From its well-received hosts to a "brilliant, somewhat incomprehensible soliloquy" from Jodie Foster in accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award. New York Times: http://nyti.ms/UiLqAz

Hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey earned raves for their performance from Entertainment Weekly. Read highlights from the duo's monologue here: http://bit.ly/VFl3XC

Several parties preceded the awards. The Hollywood Reporter has a roundup: http://bit.ly/TTKmnO

2. SWEET RIDE: The Detroit Auto show is making news with Chevrolet's release of the 2014 Corvette, a redesigned model named after the iconic Stingray. Even in the era of big reveals, the company wasn't able to keep it a complete surprise. Mashable: "The reveal of the new Corvette wasn't a complete surprise; sites such as Jalopnik already had spy photos of the new car long before its official introduction on Sunday night. Chevy also released a teaser video last month that showed little parts of the new car." http://on.mash.to/XxtFxW

3. CHECK, PLEASE: In a throwback, Washington restaurant Old Ebbitt Grill is giving diners headlines not on TVs set up in the bar, but on their receipts. "The separate 'news receipt' will feature the latest headlines from the Associated Press and be passed out with checks, coffee, or dessert. Mind you, this won’t be recycled news from earlier in the day. Instead, it will deliver news that broke during the course of your courses." ABC News: http://abcn.ws/XsxwfQ
