Lauren Farruggio is the events coordinator at the Boston Consulting Group, where she produces more than 80 events annually. Prior to joining BCG, Farruggio worked at TSE Sports and Entertainment as events manager. At BCG, she handles a wide variety of functions, including community-service events, employee and family retreats, teambuilding activities, company holiday parties, and worldwide alumni events.

Florist: “Inna Lipovsky of City Blossoms is one of my preferred florists because she consistently turns out beautiful designs with an elegant European flair. Her team is professional and courteous, always going the distance to do whatever it takes to ensure that she creates the floral decor you envision. Following the Giants' victory at the Super Bowl, our partners in Boston came down after losing a bet with our New York office; they put on Giants jerseys and gave flowers to every female employee in our office. I had to call up Inna at the last minute—the day before Valentine’s Day—and ask her to create 300 bouquets of red, white, and pink tulips. Despite being incredibly busy, she got it done.” Design and Production: “When you walk into a room designed by DeJuan Stroud, you are instantly wowed. He has an impeccable eye for design and a remarkable ability to transform a space. For our upcoming worldwide officer meeting in New York, where 700-plus guests are expected to attend, we’re working with DeJuan because we know he can handle three venues—the Rainbow Room, MoMA, and Ellis Island—in a very short period of time. He also has a natural instinct for creating gorgeous floral designs. He is honest and values the planner’s input, which makes him such a pleasure to work with."

Catering: "Peter Callahan at Callahan Catering can serve classy cuisine as well as all-American comfort food. He can make anything into tiny, bite-size pieces that are perfect for passed hors d’oeuvres, such as hamburgers and French fries, grilled cheese, mini hot dogs, and macaroni and cheese. For an upcoming event at MoMA, Peter has created a menu of delicious, innovative food and will be featuring his specialty 'mint-tini' cocktail that we’re sure is going to be a crowd pleaser."

Venue: "The Rainbow Room exudes elegance and is a classic New York staple with amazing views of Manhattan. On my way to set up for our company’s holiday party this past year, the car I was in got hit by a New York City bus. Mark Hunsch, the manager, was the first person at the scene, pulling heavy boxes out of the car and carrying them eight blocks in the snow to help me set up for the event. Those little things matter! I also like that there is a connecting Rainbow and Stars room where guests can mingle with lighter music in the background."

Photography: "Matt Gillis is a favorite of mine, and has photographed special events such as our holiday party, red-carpet year-end video show, and our annual retreats. When he sends the final proofs, it is impossible to pick any favorites since I love them all."
