Here’s a closer look at Boston's newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this summer. The new and renovated Boston-area venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.
Omni Parker House

Back in March, the legendary Omni Parker House announced a complete renovation set to be completed by this summer. Transforming all 551 guest rooms, including 57 suites, the famed hotel also renovated 23,000 square feet of meeting and function space that draws on its 19th-century heritage. Events can be hosted in a variety of spaces and configurations, including the 3,513-square-foot ballroom, which can accommodate as many as 400 guests for a reception, or smaller spaces, like the 2,160-square-foot Louisa May Alcott room, which accommodates as many as 232 guests for a reception-style event. The Omni Parker House has full AV capabilities.

Boston Harbor Hotel

Long known as one of the most elegant hotels in Boston, the Boston Harbor Hotel has renovated its meeting and event space. On the lobby level, the 364-square-foot boardroom, which accommodates 14 guests, is ideal for meetings, thanks to its rich oak finishes, waterfront views, and 60-inch plasma TV. On the mezzanine level, a more contemporary look embraces natural light and the trademark waterfront views. Large spaces, like the North and South Atlantic Room, is a 5,509-square-foot space accommodating 250 guests that can be divided into different configurations. The BHH boasts state-of-the-art AV technology. The reimagined spaces debuted in April.

The Essex

Located inside the Cambria Hotel, The Essex is a dual-concept dining destination that opened in June. The ground-level restaurant features a 2,016-square-foot main restaurant space accommodating 97 guests, as well as 22 seated guests on the patio. There’s also the Alcott Room, which has a flexible capacity for 150, and the Function Room, which welcomes 160 guests. The stunning Essex rooftop, boasting views of downtown Boston, South Boston, and the South End, accommodates 240 guests.

American Flatbread

May welcomed the new Worcester location of American Flatbread, a 10-lane candlepin bowling facility with a vintage aesthetic and delectable pizza featuring dough made in-house and fresh salad options. It’s a fitting location for the new spot, since candlepin bowling was originally invented in Worcester in the 1880s. The 17,000-square-foot facility, which features hand-painted murals of the area’s past bowling businesses, is available for a variety of private event options, ranging from use of a single bowling lane for after-work drinks to a full buyout for as many as 335 people.

Nowon

A Korean-American gastropub, Nowon, a 3,000-square-foot restaurant, came to the Seaport District in March. Equipped with full AV capabilities, the 80-seat restaurant serves up Korean street food in a vibrant setting where the decor is tiger-themed and the cheeseburgers are legendary. A patio is the perfect spot to catch a breeze in the warmer months. Nowon is available for full or partial buyouts.

Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club

Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club, a Cape Cod oasis, is diving headfirst into wellness, expanding its offerings to become a prime destination for holistic health. The most recent addition is a newly constructed, 1,000-square-foot infrared retreat studio, which opened in early 2025 at The Mansion, the property’s landmark estate. Accommodating groups of as many as 30 guests for everything from hot pilates and hot yoga to acupuncture happy hours, it’s the ideal spot to recharge.

The Block at Woods Hill

An exciting addition to the Seaport District, The Block at Woods Hill is a casual outpost similar to Kristen Canty’s neighboring spot, Woods Hill Pier 4. Debuted in late June, the 3,000-square-foot restaurant features various seating options for as many as 80 guests with a casual vibe. There is also be a 40-seat patio. The Block also has a fun retail shop with a curated selection of artisanal products, handcrafted goods, and locally sourced items. The Block also has full AV capabilities.

Billie’s

Putting a spin on the traditional steakhouse and raw bar, Billie’s is set to open on Nantucket mid-July. Slice into a 42-oz. porterhouse steak, or sit back and enjoy a martini that’s poured tableside. On the first floor, the 450-square-foot bar and lounge accommodates 28 seated guests, while the second-floor dining room, which measures 675 square feet, welcomes 50 seated guests. There will also be a 550-square-foot, three-season patio for soaking up the balmy island nights that accommodates 38 seated guests. The first floor features TV screens for presentations.

Island House Newport

Featuring expansive suites ideal for meetings, the Island House Newport is a new 24-room hotel that opened in March. Coastal-inspired rooms in this newly constructed spot, located in the heart of Newport, are just a short walk from Bellevue Avenue and Cliff Walk. They boast clean color palettes and plenty of comfort. There’s also a covered patio, perfect for soaking up the vibrant environment. The nearby Tennis Hall of Fame also has meeting spaces equipped with full AV capabilities that can be rented in partnership with Island House.

The Yard Charlestown

Originally the site of the iconic Hood Milk factory, The Yard is a 46,000-square-foot space in the Charlestown neighborhood that opened in 2024, but just underwent a renovation that launched in mid-June. Ideal for large events, the Yard accommodates as many as 7,500 guests. A dedicated performance space can be a central hub for entertainment or presentations and is equipped with full AV hookup. The venue also offers optional sound/audio solutions for an additional fee. A 2,400-square-foot tent provides some cover from potential rain, and there is a parking garage on site.

Remedy Place

Take the plunge into an ice bath or zone out during a guided breathwork and movement session at Remedy Place, the brand’s fourth U.S. location. A 10,000-square-foot social wellness club located in the Seaport District, Remedy Place emphasizes tech remedies and alternative medicine in a stunning environment complete with Venetian plaster walls and custom chocolate and titanium travertine stone elements. Highlights include the foam bathing suite for groups of four to six and the humid and infrared saunas, also accommodating four to eight. Remedy Place can accommodate group bookings for as many as 12 guests or private events for as many as 70 guests. AV capabilities are accommodated on a case-by-case basis.

88 Club

Follow that blue neon glow to the 88 Club, a new piano bar located inside Kings Back Bay that opened in May. Get ready to belt out your favorite tunes in the subterranean getaway while enjoying options from their menu of cocktails and comfort bites. Equipped with an all-new AV and lighting system, the space also has a piano, multiple microphones, and multiple TVs that can be used for closed-circuit presentations or any other media. (They can also work with third parties for custom AV needs.) The 88 Club accommodates 175 guests.

Pazza on Porter

This East Boston eatery underwent a full renovation and rebrand that debuted in May. Available for full or partial buyouts, Pazza on Porter serves up Italian meals with an American twist amid retro decor with a vibrant Italian vibe. The 1,613-square-foot restaurant accommodates 92 seated guests or 120 for a cocktail-style event, while the 534-square-foot outdoor patio can accommodate 40 for a standing event. There’s also the 622-square-foot Next Door speakeasy, which accommodates 30 seated guests or 40 standing. Pazza has no AV capabilities, but a prime location close to Logan International Airport makes it a great spot before or after a flight.
