NECN’s fashion, nightlife, and culture program Style Boston toasted its first year on the air with 650 invite-only guests at Back Bay furniture showroom Montage on Thursday night.
Creative Events Inc. produced the party, which highlighted the facets of Style Boston—fashion, food, drink, design, and city life—and incorporated them in subtle ways throughout the high-end furniture showroom. “The goal was really to showcase Style Boston as a fashionable, forward-thinking television show and celebrate its one-year anniversary,” said A.J. Williams, president and creative director of Creative Events. “And Montage’s design and luxury components were everything Style Boston is about.”
To ensure the furniture would remain in showroom condition, mixed cocktails and Champagne were available—no red wine—and food was bite-size and passed.
Ultimat Vodka and Patrón sponsored signature cocktails that were served at three bars in the bilevel venue, and Davio’s servers passed small bites. Gargoyles on the Square chef-owner Jason Santos—Boston’s beloved Hell’s Kitchen finalist—hosted a caviar station with the Little Pearl and mixed a dessert cocktail with liquid nitrogen. For the fashion aspect of the evening, models previewed fall looks by local designers Michael De Paulo, Nirva, and Selah D’Or.
Outside, Audi sponsored an outdoor showing of their newest cars, highlighting the luxury element of Style Boston’s programming.
