The 15,046-square-foot Rosemont Ballroom Complex at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare is undergoing a $3.3 million renovation. Architecture and design firm Anderson Miller Ltd. is handling the project, which is set to wrap up on March 3. The firm is bringing in an energy-efficient Lutron lighting system and replacing traditional chandeliers with pendants with color-changing LED lights.
The speaker and sound systems are also being upgraded, and the ballroom will get a Hufcor movable wall system. The walls will be champagne-colored and decorated with white oak panels, and new carpeting will be dark gray, teal, and gold. In all, the hotel has 110,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
