Mickey Mouse’s New Meeting Space

Until now, events at Disneyland in Anaheim meant meeting outside of the park at one of the resorts. The new, 10,000-square-foot Stage 17 is the first events-only venue inside one of the Disneyland theme parks, making it possible for groups to meet during the park’s regular hours, which means guests can ride the Tower of Terror to blow off steam, if it suits them. Like a real soundstage, Stage 17 has state-of-the-art lighting, audio, and visual systems, a built-in production booth, a movable stage sided by hanging video screens, and a food preparation area on-site. It holds 600 for seated events or 900 for receptions and subdivides for smaller breakout functions. —Lesley Balla
