Get ready for 2017 with the latest ideas in catering, nightlife, and more in and around San Diego.

Las Vegas-based MyRSVP expanded into San Diego in July, enabling individuals and meeting planners to navigate the local nightlife scene. The concierge service puts customers in contact with venues, allowing them to reserve V.I.P. tables, cabanas, bottle service, and other amenities.

The idea behind Herb'n Donuts is to bring a healthier, gluten-free doughnut to the San Diego area without compromising on taste. Via its mobile doughnut shop, the company sells doughnut sandwiches that are both savory and sweet. Planners can request made-to-order doughnuts and sandwiches in a variety of flavors and combinations like Wholly Cannoli and Chicken Curry. The shop, which launched in September, also can create custom items.

Cinnaholic, a gourmet cinnamon bun shop from Berkeley, California, offers a non-traditional spin on the usual buns. In 2016, the shop expanded into San Diego with three stores, with five more slated to open nationwide in 2017. The chain specializes in handmade vegan cinnamon buns with unusual frostings such as chai and macadamia nut and toppings like graham crackers, pretzels, and bananas. For catering, event planners can choose from existing combinations or create their own varieties.
