The "Miami Begins with Me" campaign, created by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau-though still operating in its early stages-hopes to provide greater service to the city's hospitality market, which welcomed 12 million visitors and generated $17 billion in 2007.
"Miami is a hot international destination, and tourism is our No. 1 industry, with one out of every five households earning a living in hospitality," said William D. Talbert III, C.D.M.E., the president and C.E.O of the GMCVB.
Those in the Miami hospitality industry will now follow key guidelines outlined in the new program to further the city's initiative of offering the best services to its visitors.
