Located in pedestrian-rich Coconut Grove amongst several retail and dining outposts, the Mayfair Hotel & Spa-originally built in 1984-celebrated its newly renovated spaces at its grand re-opening last night.
More than 300 members of the media and industry professionals turned out for the re-launch. As each were given a passport upon arrival highlighting six key areas of the hotel to explore, guests meandered throughout the property and collecting stamps at each designated location while sampling Grey Goose cocktails and hors d'oeuvres compliments of the hotel. The passports were later turned in and used as raffle tickets for the two-night stay packages and spa services gifted towards the end of the night.
The 179-room property (which overhauled its guest rooms and added a 4,500-square-foot spa in 2007) now offers guests and groups alike use of its $10-million rooftop lounge, Cabana One, and on-site eatery Angelo & Maxie's Steak house. Both spaces, accommodating 350 and 180 respectively, are available for partial and full buyouts. Several aesthetic improvements were made property wide in addition to the new additions.
