The fifth annual Putt 4 Paws Golf Tournament drew 130 golfers to the Doral Golf Resort & Spa on July 22 to raise money for Paws 4 Your Rescue, an organization that saves dogs from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services.
Whole Foods, a first-time sponsor of the event, donated bagged lunches for attendees who made a $200 donation. After golfers registered and received their swag bag filled with items like golf balls, a Nike golf hat and bag, and a Callaway visor, they picked up their sandwiches, wraps, snacks, and beverages. Whole Foods also offered the chance for guests to receive a gift card to the market, with an interactive game where golfers tried to land a ball in a Whole Foods basket.
Sponsors and registered golfing foursomes helped the organization raise $16,000, a slight decrease from last year.
