Luxury Denim Label Creates Blank Canvas: The Art Exhibit

Luxury denim label 7 For All Mankind partnered with Condé Nast Media Group and the New Art Dealers Alliance to create "Blank Canvas: The Art Exhibit," which premiered on December 5 at the Ice Palace. Gallery owner and exhibit curator Sara Gavlak brought together seven emerging artists-Lisa Anne Auerbach, Carolyn Carr, Jim Drain, Philip Estlund, Ruth Laskey, Dean Sameshima, and Shinique Smith-so that each could design a piece of art that incorporated the denim and hardware used in the brand's collection. Though Art Basel has ended, the collection will continue to be displayed in 7 For All Mankind retail stores throughout the county and will also be showcased in Vogue, W, Teen Vogue, GQ, Details, and Vanity Fair magazines in 2008.
