Women everywhere recognize NARS as a top-of-the-line cosmetics company. Recently, however, the company put down its makeup brushes and picked up shovels to plant trees and flowers in Halouver Park in Bal Harbor. The company worked in conjunction with the local community to beautify a park in Miami-Dade County.
Following an afternoon of planting in the hot sun on March 19, the company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 20 to unveil the park's makeover. Volunteers who participated in the planting were given 30-percent-off vouchers for purchases made at NARS's Web site as a thank-you for their time and effort.As the sun set on the ribbon-cutting, NARS execs and community V.I.P.s headed over to SET for an exclusive party in the "NARS Lounge." There, decadence and glamour were the name of the game. From the chocolate-covered strawberries, truffles, and other rich treats provided by Eggwhites Special Event Catering to the makeup artists offering free makeovers to guests, luxe was the word of the evening.
In addition, specialty cocktails were served, including the NARS Orgasm Cosmopolitan, named after the company's most popular color.
