Treehouse is an 8,000-square-foot lounge and nightclub available for buyout in South Beach. The venture is the latest project from 26-year old Jeremy Waks, who previously launched Miami Beach-based Heathrow Lounge. Waks envisioned Treehouse as a βsophisticated version of a fantastical getaway.β
In the spot formerly occupied by Provocateur, Rain, and long ago, Groove Jet, Treehouse has three rooms, all on the ground level (no wooden ladders to climb here). The first room evokes the feeling of a cozy ski lodgeβthus its name, the Aspen Room. At 2,000 square feet, it has lounge seating accented by raw teak lining the walls. A black button-laced bar draped in cargo netting anchors the space.
The main room is next, and the wood walls carry through. Stadium-style black leather banquet seating lines the walls, while a large black granite-topped bar sits in the middle of the 3,000-square-foot space. Both the main room and the Aspen room have DJ booths, and the floor is open for dancing.
In the rear, a 3,000-square-foot garden evokes a casual, backyard ambience with synthetic grass carpeting, cabana beds, and rattan lounge seating with white cushions. The open-air space is accented with plush greenery and candles. The area is also equipped with projectors that can play videos or presentations on one wall of the garden.
Treehouse does not serve food, but caterers are welcome for private events.
