Here's a look at Miami/South Florida's new spaces open for events this fall. The new and renovated Miami/South Florida venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.

White Elephant Palm Beach

White Elephant Palm Beach, a luxury boutique hotel located on Sunset Avenue, is opening Nov. 4. The modern Mediterranean-style property features 13 deluxe rooms and 19 suites, a chic pool deck, a signature restaurant named Lola 41, and various outdoor spaces. The new hotel embraces Palm Beach history with a contemporary twist after a total renovation of the former Bradley Park Hotel. Palm & Park, the hotel’s rooftop suites, feature panoramic views, full kitchens, and serene lounge and dining spaces. The two-bedroom Palm Suite can host smaller gatherings of up to 15 guests. The Park Suite can entertain as many as 40 guests cocktail style and includes three en suite bedrooms, an open floor plan, and a terrace with scenic Palm Beach views.

THesis Hotel Miami

Located near the University of Miami, THesis Hotel Miami opened in the Coral Gables neighborhood in August. The urban hotel features 245 guest rooms, a rooftop pool, and 20,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor meeting and event space. Two eclectic restaurants, Mamey and Orno, from James Beard-nominated Chef Niven Patel who also oversees the hotel’s event catering. For personal, business, or corporate events, THesis can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 160 guests with numerous seating and reception designs.

Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery

In September, Society 8 Hospitality Group opened Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery in Fort Lauderdale. The 24,000-square-foot warehouse comprises a food hall, retail space, and versatile event space. It offers a variety of food vendors from the Chop Shoppe Meat Provisions to HotLime Craft Tacos and Ceviche Bar. Offering full-service event management that includes food, beverage, music, lighting, performers, and staff, the food hall is ready to host corporate gatherings, holiday and birthday parties, wedding receptions, and even cooking classes. It offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for private and semiprivate events of various sizes.

LEKU

LEKU, located in Miami's Allappattah neighborhood, opened in July at the new Rubell Museum. The patio restaurant has a French bistro-inspired atmosphere with light and airy marble, cast-iron tables, rattan chairs, and art-deco accents. The garden area is a breezy, tranquil space surrounded by native Florida greenery and shrubs; it features panoramic lighting and sound, comfortable furnishings, and a built-in bar, and it accommodates as many as 100 seated and 150 reception style. A Basque roots-inspired menu offers a full range of appetizers and entrees.

Luminary Hotel & Co.

Luminary Hotel & Co. opened in downtown Fort Myers in September. Situated in the bustling river district, the hotel has 243 guest rooms and suites and is located adjacent to the Caloosa Sound Convention Center & Amphitheater. The signature Silver King Ocean Brasserie, modern Ella Mae’s Diner, and Beacon Social Drinkery rooftop are just a few of the various dining options on site. The Workshop is a 2,300-square-foot culinary space with stadium-style seating and up-to-date presentation technology. With nine meeting rooms—six of which open out to the pool deck overlooking the Caloosahatchee—and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting space, the venue can host up to 80 guests for classroom- or theater-style events.
