Meatpacking District Swaps Powder for Glo

Located in Powder’s former space in the meatpacking district, Glo has both a 11,000-square-foot, bilevel nightclub and a 5,000-square-foot independent event space underneath. Glo still has Powder’s retro-modern cutout shapes in the walls, but replaced the multicolored look of the old venue with neutral tones and soft, color-changing backlighting. The nightclub's main space has a dance floor, two bars—one features a waterfall wall—and a spacious lounge area. The upper level, which overlooks the dance floor, holds 300 and houses the DJ booth and its state-of-the-art sound system. The entire space can hold 800. —Anna Sekula
