Chelsea's Crisp, Clean New Space

Known for his floral work at his company Lotus, designer Luis Collazo has now opened up Lotus Space in Chelsea for events. Dominated by three large, striking rectangular arches, the space is defined by expansive walls that don’t quite reach the ceiling on three sides (street windows form the other wall). The 5,500-square-foot venue has 15-foot ceilings, and holds 400 for receptions or seats 200 without a dance floor. Collazo offers in-house floral design services and props. —Mark Mavrigian
