Last week on The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, Howie got the ax after Primarius lost a task pushing products on QVC. (Did anyone think he’d last as long as he did? After further reflection, we think he was the most un-Martha-like of the bunch, despite our earlier assessment. Martha decided to spare Bethenny, the project manager of Primarius, and the only remaining contestant with event planning experience and the last New Yorker of the bunch. Martha seems to have a soft spot for Bethenny’s naked ambition. Meanwhile, NBC gave Martha herself the ax as well, deciding not to do another season of the show. (The network's official word is the series was originally intended as a one-off from the beginning.)
Matchstick won the task, and was rewarded with a tour—led by Kevin Sharkey, decorating editor for Martha Stewart Living—of Stewart’s home in East Hampton. While we’re still pulling for Marcela and Ryan, we think Leslie and Dawna are looking promising too. (And we think Jim and Amanda have alienated themselves enough from the others that they’re bound to get fired eventually.) What do you think?
