A New Location for Lounge

In March meatpacking district lounge Pink Elephant moved to a larger 5,000-square-foot space in west Chelsea. The new digs have exposed brick walls, crystal chandeliers, and a sleek curved 30-foot floating onyx bar with glass tiles, a leather armrest, and two large mahogany-stained wooden sculptures. The lounge now has an intelligent sound system installed by NASA engineer Steve Dash and intelligent lighting. The entire space holds 400 for receptions or seats 100. Mixologist Dale DeGroff created the cocktail menu. —Anna Sekula
