The glass and steel Midtown building designed by John W. Averitt for Mikhail Baryshnikov’s dance foundation also offers its spaces for events and meetings when they’re not used by performers. The two floors of the Baryshnikov Arts Center have four column-free studios with southern and western views, sprung wood floors, and audiovisual equipment. The 1,849-square-foot studio 4A has 18-foot ceilings and holds a maximum of 74 people, and 4B is 1,247 square feet and holds 49; the two are separated by a retractable wall and combine to hold a maximum of 192. Studios 6A and B have 20-foot ceilings; the former holds 74, the latter 30. —Anna Sekula
