Spring is bringing a slew of restaurant openings (Ago, Benoit, and Bar Q to name a few), and in mid-May, chef Scott Conant will open an Italian eatery named Scarpetta. Taking over Gin Lane's spot on the edge of the meatpacking district, the restaurant will feature a skylight, a long mahogany bar, and a glass wine display. Scarpetta will serve seasonal cuisine in a space that seats 85.
