The association-event planners invited to Marriott’s three-day “Association Masters” showcase of the hotel group’s convention capabilities have seen a lot in their planning careers—but the dinner on the final night in the Marriott Marquis’ Broadway ballroom was an eyeful. Lounge 22 provided triangular tables, lit from within for a sharp, modern look. And Design Fusion’s all-white flowers—which included calla lilies and orchids—kept the room stark and clean. The hearty dinner menu included Maine lobster risotto, filet mignon, and crème caramel. The Marquis’ executive director of catering, Joe Cozza, produced the dinner for 600 seated guests (along with many other parts of the event), and Copycat Productions’ Ray Charles cover act, Ray of Light, entertained the crowd.
