1. Following a 22-month, $109 million makeover, the Liberty Science Center—Jersey City’s science and technology museum—reopened last summer after almost doubling its original space, to nearly 300,000 square feet, and with all that room comes a larger capacity for events and groups. A third-floor exhibit allows guests to tag a wall digitally with graffiti, the center can organize science demos for the curious, and, if the team needs fresh air, you can take over its lawn.2. Opening this summer is the Monticello Motor Club, a private racing club that will offer its track to corporate groups for teambuilding, client entertaining, and incentive trips. Available Mondays through Thursdays, the south circuit of the track is almost two miles in length. An adjacent events pavilion is for corporate groups only; the private clubhouse won’t open until later in the year.
3. If it’s bowling they’re into, check out the New Jersey location of Lucky Strike Lanes later this year. Within the Meadowlands Xanadu complex will be a 25,000-square-foot space for Steven and Gillian Foster’s entertainment venue, with 24 lanes, billiards, and a private room, plus a full menu.
