A celebration for the release of Super Mario Odyssey for Nintendo Switch took place October 26 at Rockefeller Center in New York. The event included a Nintendo-theme flash mob, featuring Dancing with the Stars contestant Jordan Fisher.Â
The International Interior Design Association New York Chapter’s 15th annual Color Invasion event took place November 2 at the Waterfront in New York. The event, which had a “Deep Blue Sea” theme, featured a colorful coral reef-inspired display for sponsor Arenson, which provides office furnishing products.
Fast-casual Mexican chain Moe’s Southwest Grill launched its traveling “Tour de Burrito” on November 2. The tour, which is produced by Roots3 Productions, features a branded truck with a wooden table, wood floors, and large windows to create a casual, chic dining space. Six of the hottest peppers in the world are on display—and available to sample—in glass jars down the middle of the table.Â

The 21st annual Human Rights Campaign National Dinner took place October 28 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Headlined by Hillary Clinton, the event’s theme revolved around the word “Rise,” and featured giant letters that spelled out the theme in a silent auction area. Hargrove handled design and decor.Â
During the V.I.P. reception, Smirnoff Vodka set up a bar decorated with rainbow ice sculptures along with its limited-edition “Love Wins” bottles.Â
New York’s Center for Architecture hosted its seventh annual Archtober architecture and design festival from October 1 to 31, with the second annual Pumpkitecture pumpkin carving fest taking place October 27. Weiss/Manfredi designed a curved pumpkin wedge tower.Â
The award for best pumpkin landscape went to Scape Landscape Architecture for its tropical "Copacapumpkin."Â
The third edition of the Fast Company Innovation Festival took place October 23 to 27 at 92nd Street Y and Convene at 237 Park Avenue in New York. Bumble Bizz, a new networking feature from dating app Bumble, hosted its Hive Pollination Station at the festival hub. The station featured ceiling branding, which was designed by Fast Company art director Katie Flanagan and installed by Burst Visuals.
Sponsor Shell set up its Shell Synergy Food Truck outside of Convene. The activation invited attendees to "jump for their lunch," which was an interactive way for the brand to showcase its energy innovations and #Makethefuture initiative. A digital screen on the truck showed how much energy people generated when they jumped. The activation was produced by J. Walter Thompson London.
