1. TITANIC, TAKE TWO: A ship dubbed Titanic II was announced Tuesday, scheduling a 2016 maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, this time with more lifeboats. The Daily Mail: "Just like in 1912 there will be three classes of passenger and those with different tickets will not be able to move between the classes, though there will be more toilets for the lower decks than the original. Everyone on board will however be provided with early-20th-century-style clothes and undergarments in their cabins to get them in the mood. Whilst there will be air conditioning there will be no TVs and no Internet in a bid to get back to the 'romance' of a bygone age." http://bit.ly/VMEX2J

2. BONNAROO MARKETING TIPS: What can Bonnaroo teach about marketing? Plenty, it turns out. In addition to being among the pioneers of using R.F.I.D. check-in technology at last year's festival, promoters have developed a strong social media campaign to generate fan interest this year, including a Twitter campaign to announce the lineup that quickly started trending. Among the lessons learned, according to Activ8Social: "Take advantage of FOMO (fear of missing out). Give attendees an opportunity to show their friends just how badly they need to come to the next event you have." http://bit.ly/YF8o5p

3. SELLING ON DIGITAL: Newfronts—the digital cousin to upfronts—begin next week, but the selling tactics attached to the production-heavy events need honing. Ad Age: "Joining the likes of Yahoo, YouTube, and AOL, who made splashy pitches to buyers last year, will be Condé Nast, Dow Jones and (in a separate effort weeks before the others) Gannett. But even as buyers prepare for the events scheduled for April 29 to May 3, they have some advice for Newfronters: Unless you follow through, don't bother." http://bit.ly/13OQ8bA

4. NEW AT TED: TEDActive has partnered with Bing to offer a tool called TED.so.cl to attendees this week. It's a version of the Bing-powered research project, So.cl from Microsoft Research’s FUSE Labs, that lets people assemble images, research links, videos, and text into collages that express reactions and associations around the TED talks in real time, which can be followed by people who aren’t on site. http://ted.so.cl/
