3. BURNING MAN'S NO-FLY RULES: The counterculture arts festival held every year in the Black Rock Desert is known as a no-rules event, but this year the organizers have set some guidelines. AUSTIN: Writer-director Shane Black will serve as the honorary chair of the Austin Film Festival's Film & Food Party. The event, which will kick off the 20th annual festival and conference and benefit the festival's Young Filmmakers program, is October 23 at Driskill Hotel.
BOSTON: HubSpot's Inbound 13 conference, held August 19 through today at the Hynes Convention Center, is expected to see nearly 5,000 guests this year—almost double compared to last year's attendance. Geared at marketing and technology, the conference plans to move next year to the larger Boston Convention and Exhibit Center.

CHICAGO: The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park has completed a $2.5 million renovation of its meeting space. The hotel's 63,000 square feet of meeting space includes 15 meeting rooms that range from 400 to 16,000 square feet, and updates include eco-friendly furnishings.
Blackfinn Ameripub will open in River North in September. The American eatery, which has menu items such as fish tacos and chicken-and-avocado chopped salad, is 11,000 square feet. It has a 230-seat pub, a 173-seat dining room, and a 60-seat patio.
LAS VEGAS: Chef Giada De Laurentiis is planning to open her first restaurant in early 2014 in conjunction with the opening of the Gansevoort Las Vegas hotel and casino. Located on the second level of the property, the eatery will have room for nearly 300 people, offer alfresco dining, and serve De Laurentiis’s California-influenced Italian cuisine.
LOS ANGELES: The Hollywood Film Awards will honor producer Jerry Weintraub with the first Hollywood Legend Award at the gala ceremony on October 21 at the Beverly Hilton.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: Sweat USA, billed as the nation's first all-star fitness festival, will make its debut at the Miami Beach Convention Center October 11-13. The weekend-long event will include an expo of health and fitness brands as well as morning and afternoon workout sessions. The show will also feature TV personalities and celebrity trainers like Jillian Michaels.

ORLANDO: The Festival of Bacon, October 5 in Festival Park, will celebrate "all things covered, wrapped, and smothered in bacon." The new event will include live music and food from more than 30 vendors such as Sonoma Draught House, Citrus, Beth's Burger Bar, and the Hammered Lamb.
