Here's a closer look at Washington, D.C.'s newest eateries, drinking spots, hotels, conference areas, private rooms, and other spaces available for events this spring. The new and renovated Washington, D.C.-area venues are available for corporate parties, weddings, fundraisers, outdoor functions, business dinners, team-building activities, conferences, meetings, and more.

Arlo Washington DC
Arlo Washington DC
Independent lifestyle hotel brand Arlo Hotels—which has properties in New York, Chicago, and Miami—opened a D.C. location in December 2024. Arlo Washington DC boasts 445 guest rooms and takes over the District's oldest surviving apartment building; there's also a 12-story addition. Cozy public spaces show off the restored vaulted brick ceiling dating back to the building’s original construction. The property features more than 4,200 square feet of event space, including five meeting rooms, an interior courtyard, and an on-site Spanish restaurant from chef Pepe Moncayo, Arrels. Guests and visitors alike can also enjoy a rooftop bar, ART DC, which is open year-round, plus a rooftop pool. The hotel is within walking distance of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and other nearby attractions.

Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown

In March, Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown unveiled the Nearest Green Suite in collaboration with Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey. The inspiration for the suite comes from the story of Nearest Green, the formerly enslaved African American master distiller who taught his process to Jack Daniel, founder of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Distillery. Green was hired as the first master distiller for Jack Daniel's distillery, making him the first African American distiller on record in the U.S. Fairmont collaborated with Uncle Nearest's founder and CEO, Fawn Weaver, and Green’s great-great-granddaughter and Uncle Nearest master blender Victoria Eady Butler on the concept for the suite. It is located on the hotel’s Fairmont Gold Floor, spans 1,500 square feet, and overlooks the property's courtyard garden.

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina
Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina unveiled major renovations to its meeting and event space in March. Located across the bay on Maryland's Eastern Shore, the property has finalized a comprehensive upgrade to all on-site meeting venues, following the transformation of the resort’s ballrooms in 2023. The latest renovation phase includes a rehaul of its small and midsize meeting spaces and corridors. This includes a fresh color palette of neutral gray and blue tones reflective of the resort’s waterfront location. Its business center has also been fully converted into a brand-new meeting space called the Blue Heron room. The 500-square-foot room is ideal for intimate functions with space for up to 40 people. Overall, the resort boasts more than 122,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

SIXTY DC will feature Casamara (pictured), a full-service restaurant offering the fresh flavors of the Mediterranean, and Reynold's, a stylish cocktail bar.
