On December 5, the seventh annual Kids and Families Foundation's Toy Drive got into the holiday spirit at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Miami with a special Christmas fund-raiser. Planned and executed by the WOW Factor Marketing Group, this year's "A Red Affair" theme was visible in all aspects of the event, from the spandex-covered tables and chair cushions to the lighting and poinsettia-filled courtyard where the toy donations were arranged.

Apara Productions added ambience to the property's patio with snowflake gobos and red and purple lighting accents. Glowing highboys accented with one of two different Christmas-tree-shaped centerpieces in gold or red spotted the patio where Construction Catering served Latin-inspired dishes.

All proceeds from the event benefited the Second Chance Learning Center, a soon-to-be-opened facility that will provide educational support to chronically ill children.

"These kids face long hours of treatment each day, and the center will give them the chance to feel some comfort while they are in the hospital," said event chair Legia Marañon-Garcia. "They tend to lose their self-esteem, and we want to give that back."

Live performances by Latin Grammy winner Albita as well as the Charranga Tipica Tropical salsa band entertained guests throughout the evening.
