An ombré wall of blooms including cabbage roses and hydrangeas was created by Todd Fiscus for a Fort Worth wedding. In the next few years, designers predict they will see fewer floral centerpieces and more floral environments.

It was a truly immersive experience that allowed fans to recreate two of Michael Jordan's most famous shots with a live announcer providing personalized play-by-play, crowd reactions (complete with 'boos'), and lots of throwback looks—including big mustaches and mullets for the 1982 N.C.A.A. "At Coachella, it can be hard to get attention over the cacophony of event offerings. But for PopSugar and ShopStyle's Cabana Club hotel takeover of the Avalon Palm Springs, a dramatic art installation made from multicolor neon ribbon was both a cool way for the party to distinguish itself visually and a serious selfie backdrop for social media message proliferation. 'Modern Luxury Brides' Showcase
In 2010, Modern Luxury Brides magazine hosted a showcase at the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago. The cover of the then-current issue—which showcased pink and peach tones, tulle, and chiffon—inspired the look of the cocktail area. A photo of the Eros statue in London decorated the bar. HMR Designs handled decor.

Brides, Bubbles, and Bliss
Carasco Photography hosted "Brides, Bubbles, and Bliss" at Chicago's Bridgeport Art Center in 2013. The bridal event showcased tabletops from different vendors. Ashland Addison Florist created a hanging table strewn with hundreds of pink and white orchids.

The Chicago Botanic Garden's Summer Dinner Dance
In June, Event Creative gave the summery gala a blue-and-white decor scheme. Bunches of pale blue hydrangeas decorated the dinner tables.

Another table with a travel theme was designed by Gunlocke/HBF. Miniature hot-air balloons hovered above the table, which was also decked with a globe, clocks, maps folded into origami, and miniature treasure boxes.

Yet another linen and flower-free table was designed by Thomas Interior Systems and Siebold & Baker by Eastlake Studios. The installation featured a table that had traveled to 10 Chicago communities and served as a pop-up dining space. Those who gathered at the table were encouraged to write on its surface.

More doodling was encouraged at the table designed by Allsteel and Henricksen. The design incorporated pages plucked from adult coloring books, and centerpieces held crayons and colored pencils. Like many others this year, the table was flower free.

More fruit was found at the Diffa Farmer's market from Steelcase by Nelson. The whimsical installation invited guests to take home bags of fresh produce.

Diffa Dining by Design New York
At Diffa's Dining by Design in New York last year, Smartwater's space aimed to reflect the brand's natural water purification process, which is mirrored after rain clouds. The fluffy fixtures lit up like a storm above the simple table setting.
