Rockwell Group and Ovando built their version of a modern-day potting shed, complete with cacti centerpieces, a vertical garden, and a diffuser that filled the space with a signature scent.

Chicago Candy Shop Display
For a locally inspired meeting break idea, Le Méridien Chicago Oakbrook Center has a Sweet Home Chicago menu that offers a variety of self-serve candy that originated in the city, including Lemonheads, Milk Duds, Red Hots, Tootsie Rolls, and Dots. Named after the blues song by Robert Johnson, the candy-shop-inspired display—which also offers pretzel bites and lemonade and iced tea—comes with a chalkboard sign that displays information about the Chicago-founded National Confections Association.

Elle’s annual Women in TV celebration took over West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont in January. The residential-like, understated hotel is not known for events with over-the-top decor, and accordingly, Elle’s event relied on candlelight and understated flowers for a dramatic look against glass windows.

In November, A.F.I. Fest presenting sponsor Audi hosted a private dinner in Los Angeles. Letting the Hollywood Roosevelt rooftop's visual drama speak for itself, the dinner set-up included a simple, unclothed table set with monochrome white chairs and flowers.

For a Coca-Cola event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a ceiling installation design was inspired by a burst of bubbles exploding from a Coca-Cola bottle. The installation lit up in gold whenever athletes won a gold medal.

At the Friends of the High Line spring benefit in 2014, more than 1,000 linen panels hung from the ceiling in the dining room. Designers dip-dyed them by hand in a dozen inflatable children's pools, and they changed color based on the lighting.
