V-Day Benefit Gets Sweet Treats

At the V-Day NYC benefit at Hammerstein Ballroom, Match Catering and Eventstyles brought in some Valentine's Day-worthy sweet treats, including heart-shaped chocolate cups with espresso mousse and shaved white chocolate, pink macaroons with .phpberry filling, meringue hearts with .phpberry mousse and bite-sized cherry cheesecakes. The dinner buffet included cold sesame noodles in Chinese take-out boxes and chicken and cashew salad with snow peas and broccolini. The event was a fund-raiser to benefit Vagina Monologues playwright Eve Ensler's V-Day charity, which works to stop violence against women and girls. The evening included a screening of documentary "Until the Violence Stops," and performance of new monologues written by Ensler.
