"The idea of lounges is being re-incorporated," Randall says. "Our customers are opting for a small affair with an intimate feel that is more relaxed, as if they are entertaining at home."Overall, decor is headed back to nature, both in color and the elements used to bring it all together. According to Roseann Forde, president of Fordecasting, a company that predicts and produces color direction seasonally for many top industries internationally, in New York City, dark wood textures give a well-established, warmer feel to an event, while lighter woods have a stronger effect. Also, incorporating irregular stones, like those found in nature, into centerpieces and decor elements is once again expected to make a comeback.
