The holiday party for KHS&S Contractors (whose portfolio includes work on the Paris Las Vegas, Hollywood & Highland, and the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace) was a red-hot ticket, so to speak. Or, at least, the look of the event on December 1 at the Grove in Anaheim for 800 guests featured red in abundance. Working with the company's Gwen Westfall, Bravo Productions headed up by Greg Jenkins designed the space in the color with a nod to both the traditional holiday hue and the company's record-breaking sales year.
The main space featured 10-foot-tall columns covered in red fabric, from metallic shag to sequins. Giant flower displays incorporated red purses, Western boots, heating and plumbing supplies, chains, feathers, and other miscellanea. A 40-foot-long water wall served as a focal point to the stage, where Sammy Hagar performed a two-hour concert of both old and new tracks. Invitations and guest credentials had the look of concert tickets.Boas and feathers combined with red metal in the decor, and red beaded fabrics contrasted with rough textures and industrial construction equipment. Lasers and lighting shone in red hues, and custom table runners were rendered in red beaded fabrics that complemented chair covers. Tabletops featured lamps with red shades as well as red votives, vases, and candies. Four scent machines gave the space the scent of cinnamon candy.
As guests departed, each received a gift bag containing a Fossil watch bearing the company’s logo, and Sammy Hagar's latest CD. The card read, “Your Time With Us Is Rockin’."
