The Tranquil Space Dupont center—with sister locations in Bethesda and Arlington—expanded in May, moving from the original P Street location to a three-story brick building a few blocks away. Now with a street-level entrance, the space (or "vinyasa yoga playground," according to its Web site) offers a larger, full-service spa, three yoga studios, and a bigger boutique. The center is available for full buyouts, or groups can host teambuilding classes in any of the three studios, all lit by natural light and dimmed wall sconces. Earth, the largest studio at 840 square feet, is on the ground level, features cork floors, and can accommodate roughly 50 people. Two additional spaces on the second and third levels—one with bamboo floors, the other with salvaged wood from an old barn in Virginia—can host 28 people each. All of the studios are equipped with stereo equipment.
Rental availability is limited to the Tranquil Space's class schedule, and the floors must be protected for private events.
