The Terrace restaurant at the Sunset Tower Hotel underwent a British invasion for the May 1 launch of the U.K.-based Boots health and beauty brand. The company’s public relations director, Sandra Gabrielle, worked with the folks at Bixel & Company to produce an event that would showcase the range of Boots lines that have hit the U.S., which now stock the shelves of Target and select CVS pharmacies.
Boots representatives dressed in white chemist coats manned the product stations, which were decorated with complementary flowers and photos. Almonds, pistachios, lemons, limes, and citrus greens (ingredients found in the line’s selection of body butters) topped off the Mediterranean products display, while stems of green cymbidium orchids in tall glass vases, palm fronds, and mini lime gerbera daisies garnished the tabletop of the all-natural Botanics display. Staffers encouraged partygoers to experiment with the products, and makeup artists circulating about the venue were on hand to gloss lips and offer makeup tips.

Amber lighting bathed the Terrace restaurant at the Sunset Tower Hotel for the U.S. launch of Boots.

Models sporting Boots-logoed T-shirts offered guests a sample of No7 Renew & Restore Beauty Serum, displayed in a martini glass atop a rose-petal-covered tray.

One station let guests detox with the line’s vitamin drinks.

Boots gobos decorated the walls and floor of the Terrace, as well as the bottom of its outdoor pool.
