More than 300 moms and media types descended on The Rosehill for a childless charity dinner hosted by urbanmoms.ca, with proceeds going to the Palliative Care Unit at Princess Margaret Hospital. Celebrity mom Erika Ehm, formerly a MuchMusic DJ and founder of Yummy Mummy Club, was among the attendees. Scratch Marketing helped plan the pampering intensive bash, which marked urbanmoms.ca's one-year anniversary. The party featured hot-stone and reflex massages from Massage on Wheels, hair styling from Conair and Redd Hair Salon, and makeovers at the Clinique station. Other activities included and HBC fashion show, with moms as models, and a Cuisinart/Waring Pro gourmet kitchen demonstration area, where chef Ezra Title pumped out tasty snacks all evening long.Daniel et Daniel catered the event, providing a menu that included beef tenderloin canap?s, mojo chicken on plantain chips, a Belgian chocolate fountain, and fruit sushi. Oyster Boy chipped in with—you guessed it—oysters. To quench guests' thirst, there was also a Sun Rype juice bar and Baileys coffee bar. Male hosts from Reef guided attendees to the various activities. Decor highlights included ice walls from Iceculture, fragrant arrangements from Church Street Flowers, and fresh looking foliage from Yukon Tents and Event Rentals.
