Steve Adelman (owner of Spider Club and Avalon) has opened a café, Lift, in the restored Hillview Apartment building in Hollywood. The vibe is communal and casual, and there is service planned for 22 hours a day—plus, chef Keith Silverton worked at Dominick's and the Water Grill. The menu features organic and raw foods, seasonal ingredients, and items such as house-made coconut water. There's a patio and private room, and eco-friendly materials were used in construction throughout.
